Enrollment at Forge

ENROLLMENT LOTTERY INFORMATION FOR 2020 - 2021 SCHOOL YEAR

Forge International School is part of the Sage International Network of Schools, a public charter school, and is mandated by Idaho Code Statute 33-5206, to hold an annual enrollment lottery when demand for enrollment exceeds the number of available spaces.
  

How to apply for the lottery. 
Below is the link for the online Enrollment Lottery Application for the 2020-2021 school year. Please complete an application for each student you wish to enroll at Forge International

The Enrollment Lottery Application will close on February 24 by 4 pm. We will be accepting students entering Kindergarten* through 8th grades.

* We are only accepting lottery applications for students eligible for enrollment during the 2020-21 school year The State of Idaho requires that students are 5 years old by September 1st, 2020 in order to attend Kindergarten (please refer to Idaho Code Statute 33-201) for the 2020-21 school year.

Students who are currently attending Forge International do not have to fill out an application.

Open House for Interested Families and Students. Forge International will have an open house to allow interested students and families to learn more about Forge International.  Open house will be January 16 from 7 - 8 pm.   

When is the Lottery.  The Enrollment Lottery will take place at Forge International on February 28 at 10 am. The lottery is open to the public.

Lottery ProcessThe Idaho Legislature established the lottery process for charter school admission through Idaho Code Statute 33-5206. As a brief overview, all applicants are placed into grade-level-specific 'Lottery Priority Groups' as follows and are drawn in order based on these groupings: 

  • First Priority: Board approved Founders
  • Second Priority: Applicants that are children of full-time employees, siblings of students already attending Forge International or children of Sage International School.
  • Third Priority: Applicants that reside within Forge International's primary area of attendance.  
  • Fourth Priority: Applicants that reside outside Forge International's primary area of attendance.

When are Lottery Results Posted.  The results will be posted on Forge International School's website after the lottery has taken place.

Offers for Enrollment.  All students that secure placement during the lottery will receive an email from Forge International providing an 'Offer for Enrollment’. Offers of enrollment must be accepted within 48 hrs. If a response is not received within 48 hours, the student’s name will be moved to the bottom of the enrollment or waiting list. Students that do not secure placement during the lottery will be placed on a waiting list and, if space becomes available, will be contacted at that time.

Waiting List. Once the Enrollment Lottery Application closes, we will post the Wait List Application the next day - February 25 - on our website. Waiting lists do not carry from year-to-year and are replaced yearly from the results of the annual enrollment lottery.
